Ambassador IREB Community Switzerland
Introduction
Requirements Engineering is becoming increasingly important in ever more complex projects. Therefore, there is a need for more qualified Requirements Engineers, and their qualifications must improve. The knowledge repository of IREB, combined with the certification levels, provides ideal conditions to connect theory and practice to enhance one's maturity.
Main Body
For over 30 years, I have been involved in software projects in the financial sector. Initially as a software engineer after training as a data processing clerk, then for over 10 years as a project manager, and now for around 11 years as a business analyst and requirements engineer.
It has always been important to me to support each role with parallel acquired knowledge: studying business informatics, postgraduate studies in project management, and since 2016, various IREB certifications.
Today, I enjoy accompanying large projects from the conceptual level to detailed specification, testing, and transition to production, and sharing my knowledge with colleagues in internal training programs.
Conclusion
With the help of the IREB Community Switzerland, I hope to motivate more Requirements Engineers to strengthen their own skills, support them on their journey, and contribute to the development and value of our profession through the emerging community.
This offers me the opportunity to look beyond the "horizon" into other companies and industries to gain a more comprehensive insight into the application and challenges of Requirements Engineering.
