How well-defined are your requirements if an AI is supposed to work with them? That’s exactly what the next IREB Community Germany MeetUp will focus on. The event will be hosted by metafinanz in Munich.

In his presentation, “Your Good Requirements Make AI Valuable, Thomas Reinberger from metafinanz will explain why clear goals, a well-defined “Definition of Ready,” and a clear “Definition of Done” are essential prerequisites for AI. Using real-world examples, you’ll learn why requirements engineering is becoming a key competency in the age of AI.

Gabriele Haller from Isartal asks the question: "Agile RE and AI – What Should the Mix Look Like?" A talk about finding the right dosage in Agile Requirements Engineering: what we can hand over with a clear conscience, where human thinking remains indispensable, and where AI even creates new sources of error. With concrete examples, so that we don't lose what makes good RE: understanding, questioning in context, and documenting responsibly.

Afterward, there will be time for questions, discussion, and networking with other participants over drinks and snacks.

In this interactive event, we’ll take you on a “Lab Journey” and use a real-world use case to demonstrate how requirements engineering methodically supports the LIS transition—from requirements gathering through analysis to implementation.

The IREB Community Austria invites you to its next meetup in Graz. This time, we’re welcoming a special guest from Cologne: Leonie Hahn (Deloitte), who is in Graz for AIDE#26 and is taking the opportunity to meet with our community.

Artificial Intelligence is often seen as a game changer for Requirements Engineering, promising faster delivery, better quality, and less manual effort. But how much of this holds true in real project environments?

In her talk, Leonie Hahn will provide practical insights into the use of artificial intelligence in Requirements Engineering. Based on her experience, she’ll demonstrate the tasks for where AI genuinely helps and where human judgment remains irreplaceable.

At the same time, she highlights important limitations. Requirements Engineering is not only about documentation: understanding context, communicating with stakeholders, and making informed decisions remain central tasks that require human expertise. She also explains why the successful use of AI requires domain knowledge, strong prompting skills, and a critical evaluation of the results.

To reduce the number of no-shows, registration will be open starting September 15.

Look forward to a fireside chat and an interactive marketplace format centered on the question: Is requirements engineering a craft or a strategic discipline?

The IREB Lunch Lab is a series of compact sessions addressing how artificial intelligence is changing the way we work when designing digital solutions. The focus is on practical exchange: a speaker shares first-hand experience with AI in requirements engineering, business analysis, and projects. An open discussion in a small group follows.

In this edition, Sven Gerhardus (BearingPoint) will talk about how an AI tool becomes real productivity. Using an internal GenAI solution enriched with proprietary know-how, he shows how phases of requirements engineering in standard software projects (SAP, Salesforce) can be concretely supported. Together, participants will examine what already works reliably today and where the limits lie.

The IREB Community Türkiye is launching! Its first event brings together Requirements Engineering professionals to explore how AI-native ways of working are transforming product development - and the role of Requirements Engineers.

Inspired by the article The Product Manager’s New Operating System, the session explores what AI-native product development means for Requirements Engineering. How are the responsibilities of Requirements Engineers evolving? And how is AI reshaping the role?
