IREB has expanded the CPRE certification program to include micro credential qualifications. Micro-credentials are compact learning units that impart specific knowledge in a short period of time.

The first of these is the AI4RE micro credential, which is currently available in a beta version and will be released on March 1st

This micro credential will give you an understanding of important AI technologies, their strengths and limitations, and their effective application - from LLMs, chatbots, and RAG to the automation of requirements gathering, documentation, and management, while maintaining human control.

IREB invites you to an exciting roundtable discussion entitled “Value-Based Engineering.” Together with panelists Svenja Schröder (msg Plaut), Cornelia Seraphin (msg), and Nedo Alexander Bartels (Fraunhofer IESE), the topic will be examined from various technical and social perspectives.

The aim of the discussion is to highlight the relevance of value-based engineering - an approach that brings together economic models, ethical issues, and digital ecosystems. The focus will be on the social impact of technical systems and the professional responsibility of requirements engineers and digital design experts.

Participants will gain insights into the methods and results of a workshop that deals with ethics and sustainability, ethical guidelines for RE and DD professionals, and the guiding principle of “digital humanism.”

Oliver Hehlert and Gareth Rogers, ambassadors of the IREB Community Germany, invite you to the next roundtable! Together with Christian Bock (ZIEHL-ABEGG), they will take a critical look at the rapid development of generative AI tools in Requirements Engineering. Tools that formulate requirements in minutes, analyze stakeholder feedback, or deliver design proposals.

What sounds like a dream for every project team also entails risks. After all, a fluently formulated text does not necessarily mean a common understanding.

How can AI be integrated sensibly without losing human coordination? or Where does automation end and where does genuine shared knowledge begin? are just two examples of the questions that will be discussed together at the roundtable.

The IREB Community Germany invites everyone interested in Requirements Engineering, Business Analysis, and related topics to a meetup in Frankfurt. The aim is to facilitate exchange, new perspectives, and valuable networking within the community.

Requirements Engineering lays the foundation for successful digital solutions. But how do requirements become viable concepts? David Gilbert will discuss this in his presentation “Strategy & Solution – A conceptual framework for digital design in companies.” Since 2015, as Chief User Experience Architect in the IT division of Deutsche Bahn, he has been designing the connection between system- and user-oriented software design. At IREB, David is a member of the Digital Design working group.

The meeting will be chaired by Gareth Rogers, Ambassador of the IREB Community Germany.
