Daniela Kreiner is an experienced Requirements Engineer and Product Manager specialising in digitalisation projects in healthcare. She applies her expertise in Requirements Engineering strategically to understand user needs and translate them into viable software solutions.
Her interest in requirements engineering developed in an unusual way: as a pharmacist, she recognised early on that many workflows in practice were not optimally supported by software. This insight led her through user training and project management into Requirements Engineering and continues to shape her user centred approach to this day. Since then, she has continuously developed her skills, acquired all Advanced Level certifications of the CPRE, and actively applied her knowledge in projects.
At her employer, she onboards new team members in Requirements Engineering, designs individual development paths, and embeds methodical RE knowledge into daily project work. It is particularly important to her not only to impart deep expertise in Requirements Engineering but also to convey and continue developing a fundamental understanding of adjacent disciplines such as testing and software architecture. After all, precise, constructive team communication requires a common basic understanding.
Since March 2025, she has been actively involved in IREB's Special Interest Group #AIREB and in the RE Management working group. Her goal is to make Requirements Engineering more visible as a discipline and to demonstrate how structured requirements work contributes to project success, especially in complex, regulated environments where clear requirements are not optional but mission critical.
