Hans van Loenhoud is an IT consultant with extensive experience. He has written several books and articles on IT and has spoken at IT conferences on topics including software testing, quality management, and requirements engineering. He has offered consultancy services to clients worldwide and has conducted various IT training courses.
With over 40 years of experience in IT, he started his career as a software developer, then worked as a quality manager, and since 2000 has primarily focused on software testing and requirements engineering. On these topics, he has been a lecturer at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences from 2018 onward. In collaboration with three Dutch colleagues, he co-authored the Dutch textbook Basiskennis Requirements, which is frequently utilized in Dutch CPRE Foundation training courses.
In 2014, he joined the IREB community. From 2016 to 2022, he was the treasurer and second chair of the IREB Executive Committee and became a full Board member in 2017.
Hans has a dedicated focus on requirements engineering and is committed to bridging the gap between requirements engineering, software development, and software testing. He has been an active participant in the CPRE Foundation working group since the major upgrade to version 3.0. Additionally, he contributed to the development of the Advanced Level Requirements Elicitation Syllabus and Handbook and is involved in the Expert Level examinations.
