Dr. Chetan Arora

Dr Chetan Arora works at the Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University (Australia), as a senior lecturer in software engineering. Dr. Arora’s professional path is notable for its diversity and global reach. He has worked in Requirements Engineering (RE) within the space domain and safety-critical systems industries across four countries: Australia, Luxembourg, Germany, and India.

In his research, Dr Arora is particularly interested in the applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in RE and RE for AI systems. He has led several innovative projects, exploring how AI can enhance the RE process and vice versa. His work extends to the development and considerations of generative AI systems, where he seeks to address the growing challenges in this rapidly evolving field. Dr Arora has published several influential papers in RE, with two best paper awards in recent years at the International RE conference. He is passionate about bridging the gap between academia and industry, ensuring that the next generation of requirements engineers (business analysts) graduates are well-equipped to tackle future challenges.
