Christian Ploninger is a Knowledge Manager and Requirements Engineering expert. As the founder of the Frequentis Expert Network for Requirements Engineering (FRECOM) and an active member of IREB, Christian is committed to advancing methods and standards in Requirements Engineering, particularly in the context of agile and digital transformation. He passionately shares his knowledge and experience as a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Campus Vienna.

With over ten years of leadership experience in Requirements Engineering, Christian Ploninger is responsible for developing and aligning HR governance requirements, training programs, and managing the RE certification program at Frequentis. Previously, he worked as a project manager for software development projects in the field of Aeronautical Information Services and served as a member of the executive board at IP SQUARE Software GmbH, where he led strategic software development projects.

Christian Ploninger is a certified Scrum Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Requirements Engineer. He has been recognized as one of the Top 20 Requirements Engineers in the DACH region and is a member of the program committee of Agile Tour Vienna. In addition, he holds several patents in the field of digital and network technologies.

He studied both Computer Science and Business Informatics with a specialization in General Management at the Vienna University of Technology, graduating with distinction in both fields. Furthermore, he is the author of the book “Project Leadership: Leadership Behavior in Agile and Conventional Projects".
