Originally from Mumbai, India, Dr. Nitish Patkar is currently a Research Associate at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW). He earned his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Bern in 2022. His professional experience includes managing several industry innovation projects, with a strong focus on ideation, requirements engineering, solution design, and implementation.
His research interests span digital sustainability, empirical software engineering, applied AI, and human–computer interaction. He has been active in the requirements engineering community for several years and serves as a program committee member for international conferences such as RE and REFSQ.
