Martin Glinz is a full professor emeritus at the University of Zurich. For over twenty-five years, he was the head of the Requirements Engineering Research Group at UZH, which was among the leading research groups in Requirements Engineering world-wide. His interests include requirements and software engineering – in particular modeling, validation, and quality – and software engineering education.

He received a diploma in Mathematics and a Dr. rer. nat. in Computer Science, both from RWTH Aachen University. Before joining the University of Zurich, he worked in industry for ten years, where he was active in software engineering research, development, training, and consulting.

Martin Glinz has contributed to IREB since 2005 as an author, co-author, reviewer and consulting expert. Since 2015, he has been the Chair of the IREB Council.

He is on editorial boards and program committees of major journals and conferences in software and requirements engineering and held key roles (general chair, program chair, steering committee chair) in major international conferences. For his research and service, he received several awards.
