Ana Moreira is a Full Professor at NOVA University of Lisbon, where she leads the Software Engineering team at the NOVA LINCS research laboratory.
Her main research topics are requirements engineering, software architecture design, model-driven development, software quality, and sustainability in software engineering. She publishes regularly in international peer-reviewed journals, conferences and workshops. Her work has received six Best Paper Awards and two Most Influential Paper Awards, one Modularisation and composition (@Modularity 2013) and another on Model-Driven Traceability for Software Product Lines (SoSyM @ MODELS 2020).
She is co-founder of the preciseUML and the Early Aspects communities, and has served on the editorial boards of several leading journals, including IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering (TSE), Software and Systems Modeling (SoSyM), and the Requirements Engineering Journal (RE). She is, or was, also a member of the Steering Committees for the MODELS, RE, REFSQ, and AOSD/Modularity conference series.
Ana Moreira has contributed extensively to the international research community, serving as organiser, Program Committee (PC) member, or PC Chair for numerous conferences and workshops. Notably, she has served as PC co-Chair for events such as ECSA 2026, REFSQ 2024, RE 2021, ICT4S 2020, and MODELS 2013.
